A Misty Winter Sunday
Dirt floors, the smell of earth in the air, the sound of a babbling waterfall; it was a misty Sunday morning. Wondering into this wabi-sabi greenhouse I could hear the plants whispering as if the air around them was humming as specs of light danced from their leaves. I could hardly contain my excitement and my eyes darted from one plant to the next, so many unique and lively specimens potted in clay and terra cotta. Aisle after aisle we explored the colors, textures, and beauty of each plant. Mother plants lined the window walls, sitting atop mossy wooden planks, bearing flowers and radiating a calm energy. We each chose a plant to take home plus one bonus, Bradley loves to spoil his girls. We wanted one of the mother plants but she was not for sale, so we chose one of her babies and we will cultivate our own mother. Luna played in the plants near the koi pond and we thanked the people for their hospitality and warmth, it was a lovely Sunday morning.
